The "EG" in the model name stands for and Electronic Red illumination. This feature highlights the center crosshairs for better visibility in low-light conditions (dawn or dusk) or against dark targets.
One side of the dial will click through red brightness levels (usually 1 to 5), while the other side will click through green brightness levels.
If the target is clear but the crosshairs are blurry, readjust the ocular focus ring at the rear of the scope.
