Cursor For Mcpe-mobile- V4

Guide: Setting Up Cursor AI for MCPE Mobile Development (Version 4) Target Audience: Minecraft Bedrock Edition (MCPE) addon developers, scripters, and resource pack creators. Prerequisites: A PC/Mac to run Cursor, and a mobile device (Android/iOS) for testing.

Introduction Cursor is an AI-powered code editor (a fork of VS Code). "Version 4" generally refers to the latest generation of AI models (like GPT-4o or Claude 3.5 Sonnet) integrated into the editor, which provides superior coding assistance. For MCPE development, Cursor acts as an intelligent assistant that can write JSON files (entities, items), generate JavaScript for GameTests, and debug animation controllers, significantly speeding up the addon creation process.

Part 1: Installation & Setup Since Cursor is a desktop application, you will develop on your computer and transfer files to your phone. Step 1: Install Cursor

Go to the Cursor official website . Download the installer for your OS (Windows, macOS, or Linux). Install and open the application. Login: Sign in with your Google or GitHub account to enable the AI features. Cursor For Mcpe-mobile- V4

Step 2: Configure for MCPE (Bedrock) To make Cursor efficient for Minecraft, you need to tell it where your project is and install helpful extensions.

Create a Project Folder: Create a folder on your desktop named MyMCPE_Addon . Open in Cursor: Select File > Open Folder and select your new folder. Install Extensions: Press Ctrl+Shift+X (or Cmd+Shift+X on Mac) to open Extensions. Search and install:

Blockception's Bedrock Development: Essential for JSON schemas and autocomplete for Minecraft files. Material Icon Theme: (Optional) Makes file types easier to see. Guide: Setting Up Cursor AI for MCPE Mobile

Part 2: Project Structure Setup MCPE addons require a specific file structure. Instead of typing it manually, we will use Cursor Composer (The V4 Feature).

Press Ctrl+I (or Cmd+I on Mac) to open the Composer window. Type the following prompt:

"Create the standard file structure for a Minecraft Bedrock Addon. Include a manifest.json, an icon, and folders for entities, textures, and scripts." Step 1: Install Cursor Go to the Cursor official website

Cursor will generate the files. Click Accept .

Verify your folder structure looks like this: MyMCPE_Addon/ ├── entities/ ├── textures/ ├── scripts/ └── manifest.json
