A third woman, (written as 本間由里), was a singer active in the 1970s. Hailing from Rishiri Island in Hokkaido, she was part of the "Suzume no Gasshodan" (Sparrow Chorus) and performed at the 5th World Popular Song Festival in 1974. She participated in multiple editions of the prestigious Yamaha Popular Song Contest (Popcon), even winning the Kawakami Award in 1977.
