Driven by a new passion, he traveled to Nigeria in 1986 to study under the renowned evangelist Benson Idahosa. Armed with this training, he returned to Ghana and, in March 1987, founded the Word Miracle Bible Church in Tamale. Today, Perez Chapel International boasts the Perez Dome, a 14,000-seater auditorium in Accra, once described by former President John Dramani Mahama as "one of the Seven Wonders of Ghana".
