Inpa: Error 159

Separates pins 7 and 8. This is required for newer BMWs utilizing D-CAN diagnostics (post-March 2007 models like late E90, E60, E70, and R56 Minis).

Insert the key fob, and press the Start/Stop button without pressing the brake pedal. This turns the ignition completely "ON" (dash lights illuminated) without starting the engine. inpa error 159

Modern BMWs draw massive amounts of amperage when the ignition is on. Connect a steady 12V+ power supply or battery tender to the jump-start terminals under the hood during prolonged coding or diagnostic tasks. Separates pins 7 and 8
